Offer a comprehensive athletic program to help develop the "whole" child - religious, moral, social, academic, and physical - at St. Jude the Apostle parish.Provide the framework and organization necessary to create a positive athletic experience that is fun for the children, and develops values essential to their character-building process, including:
- Leadership skills,
- Sportsmanship,
- Self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem,
- Integrity,
- Teamwork,
- Respect,
- Sound body/sound mind, and
- The ability to deal graciously in both victory and defeat.
Sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic fundamentals for each sport will be emphasized, not winning. All school and parish children in Kindergarten through 8th grade wanting to participate in our athletic program will be placed on a team and/or given skill development instruction, provided they are in good academic and behavioral standing, and provided a program is offered at their age/grade level.
